What Faith Can Do - Kutless

I heard this song on the radio this week and instantly fell in love with it.

What Faith Can Do - Kutless
(Click on the song title for a youtube video of the song)
Everybody falls sometimes
Gotta find the strength to rise
From the ashes
And make a new beginning

Anyone can feel the ache
You think it's more than you can take
But you're stronger
Stronger than you know

Don't you give up now
The sun will soon be shining
You gotta face the clouds
To find the silver lining

I've seen dreams that move the mountains
Hope that doesn't ever end
Even when the sky is falling
I've seen miracles just happen
Silent prayers get answered
Broken hearts become brand new
That's what faith can do

It doesn't matter what you've heard
Impossible is not a word
It's just a reason
For someone not to try

Everybody's scared to death
When they decide to take that step
Out on the water
It'll be alright

Life is so much more
Than what your eyes are seeing
You will find your way
If you keep believing

I've seen dreams that move the mountains
Hope that doesn't ever end
Even when the sky is falling
I've seen miracles just happen
Silent prayers get answered
Broken hearts become brand new
That's what faith can do

Overcome the odds
You don't have a chance
(That's what faith can do)
When the world says you can't
It'll tell you that you can

I've seen dreams that move the mountains
Hope that doesn't ever end
Even when the sky is falling
And I've seen miracles just happen
Silent prayers get answered
Broken hearts become brand new
That's what faith can do
That's what faith can do

Even if you fall sometimes
You will have the strength to rise

Praising God for Current Day Miracles

December 23, 2005 after some painful tests the doctor told Karl and I that both of my tubes were damaged and I would not be able to become pregnant. He referred us to a specialist who works with infertility. That doctor told us we had two options. The first was to have surgery to repair the tube, but he did not recommend this as it wasn't guaranteed it would work and it if did, my chances of another ectopic pregnancy would be high. The second option was in-vitro fertilization. A procedure that was very costly and to be honest I had some ethical issues with the idea.

It took me a long time to get to the point where I was "okay" with the fact that we wouldn't haven't any more kids. Don't get me wrong, I was grateful for Lily, the wonderful daughter God had already blessed us with. But I longed for another child.

God knew the desires of our heart and even though we didn't know it at the time our prayers for another child weren't answered with a "no" but simply "in my timing." What an awesome God we serve! December 20, 2009 we found out we were expecting. Karl and I were both excited and scared. But two ultrasounds later we're very excited that our little peanut is doing well!

"Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart." Psalm 37:4

The beginning...

Every now and then I get the idea that I'm going to be a blogger. I've blogged on LiveJournal. I've blogged on Myspace. I've blogged on Shutterfly. None of the blogs lasting long as I realize that my life is not all the exciting and no one would probably want to read what I have to write anyways.

But I have decided to be a blogger once again. The thing is I enjoy reading about other peoples lives (even if they aren't all that exciting), so I figure someone I know will enjoy reading this. And if not, thats ok.

So go ahead add my to your reader list and enjoy the musings of the Mettlers family presented by me!
